I enjoy educating people about the legal process and helping them have control over their lives and legacies. Our region is full of highly educated and accomplished people, but estate and trust law contains many traps for the unwary. Until they have to help an aging parent or deal with an unexpected death, clients do not intuitively know what needs to be done to transfer assets, what tax impacts to be aware of, and how to make strong plans for the families.
