McMillan Metro Faerber shareholder Peter E. Ciferri presented the Maryland Building Industry Association’s (MBIA) annual Malcolm Shaneman Quality of Life Award, at the MBIA Montgomery County Chapter’s Legislative Breakfast on May 19, 2023. As part of his duties as the Montgomery County Chapter Chair for MBIA, Peter was honored to present this award to Forest Conservation Inspection Supervisor Josh Kaye, an employee with the Montgomery County Planning Department, of the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission (MNCPPC).
The Malcolm Shaneman Quality of Life Award is given to a person in the public sector who best reflects a genuine concern for the quality of life in Montgomery County, and whose leadership qualities foster an atmosphere of partnership with the housing industry. MBIA has given this award for over 30 years, to an employee of MNCPPC, Department of Permitting Services, Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue, Department of Environment, or Montgomery County Department of Transportation.
