Financial Powers of Attorney

Overview

Having a properly drafted and up to date Durable Financial Power of Attorney (DPOA) allows your trusted Agents to handle your financial affairs if you become incapacitated or unable to manage your affairs.

This document authorizes the Agent to handle business and financial matters for you.  When you have a well-crafted DPOA, your Agent should be able to do anything and everything that you can do if you are unable to do so yourself. Having this document helps to avoid a guardianship proceeding which is a lengthy and costly process. Banks and financial institutions are extremely concerned about fraud and financial scams and, because of that, are very cautious when presented with financial Powers of Attorney. At McMillan Metro Faerber, we have created state-of-the-art, up to date Powers of Attorney that will give your Agent the best chance of handling your finances without hassle.
