Overview
I have represented individuals and businesses in a wide range of civil cases for almost 40 years in Maryland courts and Federal courts as well as the District of Columbia courts. My goal is to provide sound legal advice and obtain the best result for my client professionally and efficiently.
Over my career, I have represented clients in corporate and partnership disputes, derivative claims, business torts, breach of contract litigation employment litigation including breach of noncompete and non-solicitation claims and trade secret claims, construction litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and estates and trust litigation. I also have briefed or argued more than thirty appeals in Maryland, District of Columbia, and Federal appellate courts.
Following law school, I clerked for the Honorable James S. McAuliffe, Jr., in Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland. I served on the Maryland State Bar Association Board of Governors, Character Committee of the Maryland Board of Law Examiners, and on the Peer Review Panel for the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland. I served on the Executive Committee of the Montgomery County Bar Association and as treasurer of the Montgomery County Bar Association and Montgomery County Bar Foundation. I am in the Bar Leaders of Montgomery County.
In 2023, I was appointed by the Supreme Court of Maryland to serve on the Standing Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Supreme Court of Maryland for a five-year term.
