Overview

With over a decade of experience, I provide practical, business-driven legal counsel on commercial real estate transactions, aligning legal strategy with my clients’ operational and long-term goals. I tailor my approach to each client’s specific needs and emphasize clear communication, attention to detail, and sound strategic judgment to help clients efficiently achieve their objectives.

My practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, leasing, due diligence, and portfolio management. I regularly draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, and related transaction documents- such as amendments, extensions, assignments, licenses, and termination agreements- and advise clients on deal structure, lease interpretation, compliance, and enforcement throughout the life of a transaction.

My clients can expect responsive communication, thoughtful analysis, and a collaborative approach. I focus on translating complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance and value teamwork and long-term client relationships.

My experience includes managing real estate matters from acquisition through closing and conducting comprehensive title and real-property due diligence. I bring a pragmatic approach to every matter, with an emphasis on anticipating issues and balancing legal protections with commercial realities.

I have served as in-house counsel for commercial real estate companies, supporting large retail portfolios, and have practiced in private firm and public interest settings. I have also served as General Counsel to affiliated real estate and operating entities, advising on contracts, employment matters, litigation risk, and regulatory compliance. This varied background allows me to approach transactions with a strong understanding of both legal and business considerations.

I am admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia and am a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and Women in Retail Real Estate (WIRRE).

I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
