The candidate must have hands-on experience with the ability to work independently. The candidate will be asked to draft documents and provide counseling to clients in the areas of general business and corporate law and transactions, which may include stock and asset purchase transactions, shareholders’ and operating agreements, personal and commercial service and supplier agreements, and business and corporate governance. The ideal candidate also will have employment law experience, including drafting and negotiating employment agreements and up-to-date employment policies. The position requires excellent drafting and analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects on short deadlines. The candidate must be admitted to practice in Maryland; admission in Virginia and/or DC is a plus. Some portable business is desired and will be supported but is not required. The wage range for this position (dependent upon experience) is $120,000 – $150,000, plus an achievable incentive bonus plan.
